Disney Wishing Well

So here's the wishing well we made.  The amount of time it took us to make this can be assessed by the knowledge that we built it in one work week, in the office, on our 15 minute break times.  So 2.5 hours, I guess.

This was made out of desperation and a desire not to spend a whopping $60 plus shipping and handling on one that we didn't even like that much.

Now you're going to laugh at some of the unconventional materials used to make this, but that's ok.
The round base of the well is an (empty) diaper box covered in black crepe paper.  We used a marble looking paper to cut out the shapes of rocks which we used to cover the whole thing.

The roof is made of two cardboard box lids (we asked our printshop for empty boxes). Shoe box lids would probably suit you just fine, but may wind up a bit smaller than ours are.

Here's the best..you'll probably want to use paper towel rolls for the poles, but we didn't have any so we rolled up some heavy duty file folders. :)

The flowers and vines are from the dollar store, and the bucket is made of Popsicle sticks pasted around a styrofoam cup.

Last but not least, the little birdies.  This was for the Snow White area of a Disney Princess party, so I wanted very "Disney-ish" (my own word) looking birds. You can find the template for them HERE.

So there it is.  Sorry we don't have step-by-step pictures of the process. The final product stands about 3 feet tall.
