Jess' son needed a Valentine's Day Card box for school (ahhh...the joy's of 1st grade!)
Here is what we made for him, last minute, the day before Valentine's Day. Poor kid thought he would have nothing for school, but have no fear!
Hmm, a Valentine's Card box for a boy? Let's make a monster who eats the cards.
(and Jess laughs at Jacquie because everytime he gets cuter in the crafting process, I say "RAWR!!!")
Well, he's a cardboard box with green paper to cover. Small white balloons for his eyes, and partial paper cups for feet and hands (arms are small straws).
We got the eyes, arms, and hair to stay by punching small holes into the cardboard box, stick the materials into the box and taping them on the inside.
This made our little guy WAY more secure seeing as how he would be traveling to a first grade classroom and getting Valentine's cards stuck in his mouth.
The result was a huge success. All the students wanted to 'feed' the monster.
