Pink and Pearls First Birthday Cake

A friend's baby girl turned 1!  She wanted a small cake and mini cupcakes.

I used two 6 inch cake pans for this cake.  I made 2 failed attempts to get fondant onto this cake to achieve my original decorating idea.  I'm not sure why I kept failing at the fondant.  Maybe the Lord was trying to tell me to do it a different way.😁

So I piped rosettes onto the cake and it turned out soooooo cute!
